The 2017 Beauty Edit

2017 must have beauty and skincare products

When it comes to beauty, I think I'm an all or nothing kind of person. I don't regularly read beauty blogs but if I feel like reading one I'll read twenty posts in a night. I don't regularly buy new makeup or skincare but if I am going to buy new products I'll blow $200 all at once and give my bank balance a heart attack.

Some people love all things beauty 24/7 and even though I don't tend to be like that, I still know a good product when I see one. Maybe it's come with age or maybe it's just because I've gradually scavenged my way through the 52,437 crappy makeup products out there, but I can definitely tell the difference between a good product and a great one.

I try to write the kinds of posts I would like the read and with beauty I'm always the most interested in finding out what people's all time favourite products are. So if I had to pick my all time favourite beauty products, here are the cream of the crop, the creme de la creme, the pick of the litter...okay I'll stop now.

Hopefully you enjoy!

  4. I’m exactly the same as you when it comes to beauty. Hardly buying anything but when I see something completely random I want, I’ll buy it plus another fifty million things all at the same time haha. All such great basics here & that’s all you really need!

  6. I agree that with the age you sort of now good and bad products. I tend to invest a bit more for bronzer or highlighter as they last for long time and I prefer something that actually gives that natural glow then sit on my skin! xx

    1. Exactly! I've definitely tried some dodgy highlighters in the past so now I much prefer to invest and actually get a good product.

  11. I'm the same as you when it comes to beauty-- either all or nothing. And I can really appreciate this post because, as someone who doesn't keep up to date with all the new and trendy products, I love seeing what products are my favorite bloggers go-to picks. That's what interests me most! Great post, I'll have to try some of these out. Especially the brow gel- I've been a needing a new one of those.

  14. Firstly, love the photos :) Secondly, I appreciate seeing the list of all your favourite tried and true products, makes it nice and easy. ( You are definitely an artistic archetype) There are a lot of things there that are my favourites too (I actually bought them because of your previous posts recommendations) : The Oskia gel, By Terry Ombre Blackstar, The Mac Patina eyeshadow, The Chantecaille mascara andThe Anastasia Brow Gel. I think I will work my way through your list as I like and trust your taste in things. To start with I will have to get my hands on some of the Chanel lip balm :) Great job, I love your posts!

  25. I love my beauty content online, but these days I'm a lot more in tune with what I like and what works for me and I don't really get sucked into the hype and want to try every new thing that launches anymore, which I'm very happy about. After all, why waste time trying to use up products that are just okay when you could be using your favourite products and loving the way you look every day?

  30. The best beauty care is when you know your skin type and then choose a particular skin cream or make-up according it. Whatever we choose will directly make an impact on our skin so choose wisely to have a healthy glowing and forever young skin.

  32. I am the same I think, I tend to read a lot about products then stock up at once when I need it. Basically that is how I found a number of these that you have listed too. Love that Naked palette. Other wise I love the Stila eye and blush palette I got late last year, it has strong pigmentation and I don't find it creases as easily in the eyelid. I was very kindly sent one of the Tatcha lip glosses from beauty blogger Susan of www.le-jolie.com I loved it, she has some good beauty reviews worth checking out.
